Industrial Rogowski Coil Current Sensors for Permanent Monitoring and Control Installations

The RCT range is a family of flexible, clip-around Rogowski AC current sensors designed for permanent and semi-permanent industrial installations. The range measures AC currents from 250 Arms to 50 kArms and provides industry-standard outputs for monitoring, metering and control applications. The flexible Rogowski coil can be installed around existing conductors without disconnecting the primary circuit, making the RCT range particularly suitable for retrofit current measurement and applications where conventional fixed-core current transformers are difficult to install.

The RCTi and RCTi-3ph provide instantaneous AC current outputs for applications requiring waveform and phase information, while the RCTrms and RCTrms-3ph provide True RMS measurement for industrial monitoring applications. The RCT1A provides an industry-standard 0–1 A AC output for integration with compatible metering and control equipment. Selected models achieve less than 1° phase shift from 50/60 Hz to 1 kHz.

RCT electronics are available in DIN-rail or panel-mount formats, with output options including 0–5 V AC, 0–1 A AC and 4–20 mA DC. These standard interfaces allow the sensors to be integrated into industrial monitoring, metering, automation and control systems.
