NEW PRODUCT- the LFR replaces the RGF

PEM will launch the LFR in August 2008. Like its predecessor the RGF the LFR is a dual range, flexible, clip-around, battery powered Rogowski probe. The LFR has a 10:1 switch selectable current ratio to give a wide dynamic range in a single probe. The LFR is available in ratings from 60Apk to 60kApk, coil lengths from 300 to 1000mm.

The LFR has market leading low frequency performance, optimised to give minimal phase measurement error at 45-65Hz up to 20kHz and the lowest possible noise floor. e.g.

Like the RGF, the LFR maintains good high frequency (hf) performance e.g. for a 300mm circumference coil hf (-3dB)=1.0MHz, and for a 700mm coil hf (-3dB)=600kHz.

The LFR is ideal for current monitoring in power measurement applications, of leakage currents, and for power quality measurements. A provisional datasheet will be available at this years PCIM exhibition.
