Dr Chris Hewson will be presenting on Wednesday, 17th October, 2017 at the forthcoming ECPE Workshop: Current Measurements for Power Electronics Applications and in Lab Scale, which is being held in Hamburg on the 17th and 18th October 2017. The presentation ‘Wide-bandwidth Rogowski based Measurement in the Lab’, will provide practical information on the limitations of Rogowski probe performance in measuring a variety of switching waveforms including information on probe delay, minimum rise-time, rejection of voltage and magnetic external fields, measurement droop in long pulses and pulse trains and operating at elevated temperatures. Finally the talk will briefly look at areas of research and improvement in Rogowski probes as power electronic designers and manufacturers move toward faster switching technologies.
This ECPE workshop aims to give an overview on the available technologies and discuss their differences in power electronic application. Speakers will give technical background information on new methods but also present challenges originating from the application. Further details available ECPE Website
