| 01/01/2006 | EXHIBITIONS - APEC 2006 | PEM Ltd |
PEM Ltd will be exhibiting at this years APEC exhibition at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Dallas, Texas – March 19-23. The booth number is 162. We will also be presenting a paper titled ‘Verification of Rogowski Current Transducer’s Ability to Measure Fast Switching Transients’ looking at the practical limitations of measuring fast current transients using Rogowski current transducers. The date and the venue are: Session 17: Oral session Magnetics and Current sensing Pegasus ballroom Wednesday 22nd March 2.00 to 5.30pm. We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
| 01/01/2006 | NEW PUBLICATION | PEM Ltd |
At last years European Power Electronics Conference 2005 in Dresden, Germany PEM presented a new paper titled ‘High Frequency Effects in Current Measurements Using Rogowski Coils’ which is now available for download. The paper addresses the fact that it is not generally recognised that at very high frequencies the measurement is position sensitive. Furthermore the coil propagation time delay increases with frequency thereby reducing the expected bandwidth. This paper investigates these effects and presents some experimental verification.

To meet increasing customer demand, Power Electronic Measurements (PEM) Ltd, has designed and manufactured two ranges of ac current transducer for permanent or semi-permanent installation. The RCTi and RCTrms both feature a thin, clip-around coil (based on Rogowski technology) connected to a small DIN rail or panel mount electronics enclosure. A basic description of the benefits of these new transducers is described in our latest press release >‘A new wave of current measurement' which can be downloaded by clicking on the link.
