CUSTOM DESIGNS
Over the last fifteen years PEM has undertaken many special designs for customers with current measurement problems that lie outside the capability of our standard ranges.
These problems range from the relatively straight forward such as
- increased coil lengths (PEM has supplied coils up to 3 metres long)
- Rogowski coils to measure di/dt, for fault currents or power measurements with a reactive load
to the complex
- tailored frequency response characteristics.
- measurement of high frequency sinusoidal waveforms in the rf region.
- measurement of very fast pulses < 200ns or currents with a di/dt exceeding 50kA/µs.
- power measurement requiring extremely accurate setting of low frequency phase characteristics.
- electrostatically shielded Rogowski coils for measuring currents in the presence of very large voltage transients.
